I enjoy computers both as a career and as a hobby. Recently though, I have found that I am becoming more interested in building model cars, playing with my cats. Due to time constraints, I rarely get to experience what the rest of the world calls "free time", but when I do, I try to make it quality enjoyment time. I have renewed my interest in reading. I have enjoyed reading since a young child (around age 4 I think), and my favorites are sci-fi and fantasy. My favorite authors include Isaac Asimov, Piers Anthony, J.K. Rowling, Tom Clancy, Orson Scott Card, and Arthur C. Clarke. I love music, especially hard rock, heavy metal, techno, and 80's pop rock. I have enjoyed participating in the Boy Scouts, as a child, and later as an adult leader. Of course, being a former Boy Scout/Assistant Scoutmaster, I get a kick out of outdoorsy things. My favorite outdoors experiences include canoeing down the Tar River in Greenville, NC in pouring rain with my friend Mark Harrington and his family, and the campout where we jumped off a cliff and got lost in the woods (we went rappelling and orienteering).
